Anandini Wadera, L.AC, Dipl.OM

Hi! I'm Anandini. :)

I am an integrative women's health practitioner, a licensed acupuncturist, dedicated herbalist, a wanderlust, bookworm and dog lover. I am the founder of Vlissful.

My journey to integrative medicine began as a constantly sick child. Having grown up with ayurveda, homeopathy and acupressure/reflexology, it felt natural for my mom to take me to see a Chinese Medicine practitioner. Chinese Medicine changed my life once as a child with digestive health issues, and once again as a working adult with hormone imbalance. This second experience catapulted my career change and commitment to the quest of healthy womanhood.

I received a bachelors from UCLA in English Literature, Creative Writing and pre-med, with medical school in mind. After graduating early, I worked for a health tech company in product design, and soon found myself drawn to my childhood calling of integrative healthcare. I graduated with my MSTCM from Five Branches University in San Jose, CA, having followed professors who specialized in women’s health and fertility, psycho-emotional balance and sports medicine.

I have since dedicated much of my time to post-graduate training in classical herbal medicine, Functional Medicine with IFM, as well as hormones and gynecology, allowing me to connect the worlds of biology, Qi and Blood.

I practice medicine, and yet I do not treat diseases or symptoms. I treat people. I see individuals as an integrated whole, as dynamic and constantly changing, as a reflection of their lifestyle and environment. We might talk about your microbiome, cortisol or hormones levels. We might talk about your Spleen Qi, Liver Blood or Shaoyang pivot. We might use needles, cups, herbal medicine and supplements. We might use breathing exercises, diet and lifestyle recommendations. We might consider a stool analysis or a saliva test.

Regardless, the goal is balance.

With an integrative approach, I strive to build chemical and physiological balance, such that you may not only re-inhabit your own body, but feel vibrant in it. I strive to build stress resilience-- at the Qi-Blood level and the mind-body level. This is where we practice learning to recognize patterns of stress and anxiety, and even if we can't remove the sources (because sometimes we can't!), we can be empowered to pause and choose how to respond.

My hope is to help you cultivate the best version of yourself.

I feel blessed to be doing what I love, and I wish to be the best I can for you.
